Larger version of “Paths of True Love” and some details, inspired by Rob Reiner’s masterpiece, “The Princess Bride”. Loved playing with the Florin vs. Guilder, red vs. blue theme. The original is off to a good and loving home, but there are still some 16 x 20 prints left at g1988. Sarandon, Guest, Patinkin, Shawn, Elwes, Wright, Crystal, Kane, Giant… What a movie. So many great scenes: ambidextrous sword fighting, albino jogging, eel shrieking …
Sweet buttery sainted pants, people, CARY ELWES IS GOING TO BE AT AWESOMECON!! … I am a longtime fan and I am TERRIBLY EXCITED to meet him, as well as to get this art of mine signed by him :D
I’ll have only three copies of this print (plus the original marker art) for sale at my table at Awesomecon, only on Saturday and Sunday. This is the ONLY con I’ll be offering it at, so if you see it and like it, hurry over to table C09 in the artist alley on Saturday/Sunday and pick it up :)
Carol Kane and Chris Sarandon at the introductory talk and Q&A for tonight’s screening of The Princess Bride at the Actors Fund Arts Center. They seemed like cool, nice people (as I mentioned in my earlier post, Chris Sarandon had a Princess Bride shirt on) and there was a nice moment when even though the moderator had intended to cap the number of audience questions at two of them, Chris noticed another woman had had her hand raised and asked her if she had a question too. A small gesture, I know, but nice of him.
There were also chips, candy bars and water bottles for $1 and an endless free supply of wine. Good times. (Photo courtesy of my brother.)
